Mushroom hunting at San Vigilio di Marebbe

The woods around San Vigilio di Marebbe are famous for their abundance of mushrooms.  Porcini, chanterelle mushrooms, button mushrooms and green agaricus are the most widespread species, but there are many more and experts are free to chose from the large variety.

It is very important that mushroom pickers strictly observe the regulations of the area where they pick and that they help maintain the natural productivity of the forest soil and the beauty of the wood.

The mushroom harvest il allowed on even days only  from 07.00 to 19.00, up to 1 kg per person a day .

Harvesters are required to communicate their personal data to the competent authority and to purchase a mushroom picking permit (€ 8,00 per person a day).
